2012 Deep Wireless Festival of Radio and Transmission Art, May 1–31

11th annual DEEP WIRELESS Festival of Radio & Transmission Art
@ Artscape Wychwood Barns, 601 Christie Street, Toronto
May 1 - 31, 2012

Deep Wireless is a month-long celebration of radio and transmission art including performances, installations, radio broadcasts of commissioned works on CBC radio's Living Out Loud and the TransX Transmission Art Symposium. Featured artists: Christof Migone, Galen Joseph-Hunter, Kristen Roos, James Partaik, LeBlanc/Fahner/Moignard, Magz Hall, Victoria Fenner, Tetsuo Kogawa, Aynsley Moorehouse, Peter Courtemanche, Dominique Ferraton, Hector Centeno, Chris Myhr, Jennifer Cherniack, Amos Latteier, Gintas Telelis and many more.

"As the convention of radio is questioned and no longer confined to the radio dial, Deep Wireless artists ask, what is the nature of transmission? This May, NAISA celebrates its 11th edition of the Deep Wireless Festival by once again bringing together artists from around the globe to respond to this question within the context of a time when old conventions and technologies are dissolving into multiple streams of creative possibilities." Darren Copeland, NAISA Artistic Director.
