2012 Feminist Porn Awards – winners

The 7th Annual Good For Her Feminist Porn Awards Gala took place last night at the Berkeley Church in Toronto. The evening was hosted by Elvira Kurt with Ryan G. Hinds and included performances and entertainment by Ill Na Na, Olive-or-Oliver, CoCo La Creme and DJ Sigourney Beaver.

The top prize of Movie of the Year went to Erika Lust's Cabaret Desire. Erika Lust was also last year's Movie of the Year winner with Life Love Lust. She is a Swedish writer and erotic filmmaker whose work demonstrates a high level of skill and artistry.

The winner for Steamiest Straight Movie was Petra Joy's The Female Voyeur, while Julie Simone's Vicious Strap-on Bitches was named the Hottest Kink Movie. The Hottest Dyke Film prize went to Hella Brown: Real Sex in The City by Nenna.

It was the culmination of three days of activities that included the screening of Public.Provocative.Porn: The Year's Best in Feminist Film at the Bloor Hot Docs Cinema. The awards are given yearly to honour erotic entertainment that is smart, sexy, and appreciates women as viewers.

Winners were selected from over 40 nominated films. The 2012 nominees also included the highest ever number of nominated websites with sixteen.
