The winner for Best Editing in Feature Length Dramatic was Roger Matussi for Afghan Luke, winning against the editors for High Chicago, I'm Yours, A Dangerous Method and House of the Rising Sun. Michele Hozer won for Best Editing in Documentary for West Wind: The Vision of Tom Thompson .
Don Cassidy won in the Television Movie or Mini-Series category with the Broken Promises and deadly Barriers" episode of The Kennedys. Teresa De Luca won the Long Form Television Series prize with the "Reason to Believe" episode of Combat Hospital. For 1/2 hour Broadcast Short Form, the award went to Brigitte Rabazo of the now-canceled Todd & the Pure Book of Evil for "Fisting Fantasy".
Lifetime Achievement Awards were given to Oscar-nominated Ron Wisman and posthumously to the George Appleby who passed away in 1999.
