It is the crust of faith that keeps us together, the faith that we have for each other. A Legend in the Taurus Mountains is the tale of King Azatiwada's castle, discovered in 1946 in Karatepe-Aslantaş. The puzzle of the as yet undecipherable ancient Hitite hieroglyph script on which linguists had given up all hope, was solved here.
The film tells the story of Prof. Dr. Halet Çambel's selfless efforts over more than half century. Her initiative brought about the first ever stone restoration performed in Turkey, as well as the first open-air museum of its kind in the country.

Starting with the assassination of Journalist Abdi Ipekci, climbing up to the September 12, 1980 military intervention, the politics which governed the events, the military governance of the country, exile of the political leaders and other events that were lived in that time frame, Zincirbozan reflects this period with its unknown ways most accurately and stunningly.
The Film claims its name from the Zincirbozan military facilities in Çanakkale, where some politicians were subject to obligated residency after September 12, 1980.

In 1986, a group of Turkish nationals arrived in Canada claiming refugee status. After lengthy hearings, a number were expelled early in 1988. There was protest, intensive media coverage and an outpouring of public sympathy for the Turks. Against this backdrop, various individual figures emerged, including charismatic 9-year-old Gülizar Ersoy. This little girl, who speaks French fluently, and who was among those sent back to Turkey, became a symbol of the plight of Turks in Canada. But Batiya Bak probes deep, while focusing closely on the lives of the families involved, it also shows how sympathy for the Turks was triggered by a clever media campaign and illustrates just how profoundly the media can influence public issues.
