Prix Louis-Delluc 2012 – nominations


The eight nominees for the 70th edition of the Prix Louis-Delluc (Louis Delluc Prize) for the best French film of the year.

Among the nominees were Festival de Cannes competition films Amour by Michael Haneke, Holy Motors by Leos Carax and De rouille et d'os (Rust and Bone) by Jacques Audiard. Noémie Lvovsky's Camille redouble (Camille Rewinds) also was at Cannes in the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs section.

Jacques Audiard recently won the Prix Louis-Delluc in 2009 for Un prophète (A Prophet), while Leos Carax won in 1986 for Mauvais Sang (Bad Blood). Nominees Lucas Belvaux and Noémie Lvovsky shared the prize in 2003 for Trilogie: Un couple épatant / Cavale / Après la vie and Les Sentiments (Feelings) respectively.

The nominees for Prix Louis Delluc du premier film will be announced in the coming while.

The Prix Louis Delluc has been awarded since 1937 and is selected by a jury of 20 critics and cultural personalities, chaired by Festival de Cannes president Gilles Jacob. Last year, it was Le Havre by Aki Kaurismäki who walked away with the prize while Donoma by Djinn Carrénard won the Prix Louis Delluc du premier film.

The winners will be announced on December 14 at Fouquet's in Paris.
