2013 Premios Goya (Spanish film awards) – nominations


The Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España (Spanish Academy of Cinematic Art and Science) has announced the nominations for the 27th Annual Premios Goya.

Pablo Berger's black-and-white silent film Blancanieves led the field with a whopping eighteen nominations. Spanish for "Snow White", the film is loosely based on the fable. Its nods include Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actor (Daniel Giménez-Cacho) and Best Actress (Maribel Verdú).

Next with sixteen nominations was Alberto Rodríguez Librero's Grupo 7 (Unit 7). It also received mentions for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Actor (Antonio de la Torre).

J.A. Bayona's Lo imposible (The Impossible) was next with fourteen nominations, and Fernando Trueba's El artista y la modelo (The Artist and the Model) followed with thirteen nods. Both are also contenders for Best Picture as well as Best Director and Best Original Screenplay.

The ceremony for the 27th Annual Premios Goya will be held on February 17, 2013 in Madrid.
