2013 Art Directors Guild (ADG) Awards – nominations


The Art Directors Guild of America has announced the nominations for the 17th annual Art Directors Guild (ADG) Awards.

Nominees include many awards season frontrunners such as Argo, Django Unchained, Les Misérables, Lincoln, Life of Pi, Skyfall and Zero Dark Thirty. Major omissions include Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master and Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom.

Production Designer Herman Zimmerman will be the recipient of the Guild's Lifetime Achievement Award. Hall of Fame inductees are Preston Ames, Richard MacDonald, and Edward S. Stephenson. The Production Designers behind the James Bond franchise, Sir Ken Adam, Allan Cameron, Dennis Gassner, and Peter Lamont will be honoured for Outstanding Contribution to Cinematic Imagery.

The 17th annual Art Directors Guild Awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, February 2 at the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The host for the fourth consecutive year will be Paula Poundstone.
