North Korean Human Rights Film Festival 2012, July 6-8


Tonight, the first North Korean Human Rights Film Festival which was created by Gilad Cohen and Michelle Ragno to help raise awareness of North Korea's human rights abuses.

The opening film tonight will be the North American premiere of Winter Butterfly by Gyu-min Kim. It is based on a true story of a mother and her son and their struggles due to the food shortage. The screening will be followed by a discussion by Randall Baran-Chong and Erica Kim of HanVoice.

All screenings take place at Innis Town Hall and are subtitled in English.
