2012 BET Awards – winners


The 2012 BET Awards took place last night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles in a ceremony hosted by Samuel L. Jackson.

In the film section, the Best Movie Award went to The Help. Its star Viola Davis won for Best Actress.

Best Actor went to comedian Kevin Hart, who starred as Cedric in Think Like a Man.

Several artists were double winners in the music categories. Beyoncé won for Best Female R&B Artist and was co-winner for Video Director of the Year. Chris Brown won Best Male R&B Artist and the FANdemonium Award. The Throne (Jay-Z and Kanye West) won for Best Group and Video of the Year.

The Cadillac Lifetime Achievement award will be presented to Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, while the Humanitarian Award was presented to Rev. Al Sharpton.
