Call for submissions: ReelWorld's Emerging 20 2012

Toronto's multicultural film festival ReelWorld has put out a call for submissions to emerging filmmakers from diverse backgrounds to participate in their Indie Film Lounge as one of their Emerging 20.

The 20 successful applicants will receive preparatory free workshops and mentoring from industry professionals in late August and early September. Then during the Toronto International Film Festival, they will get to participate in the Indie Film Lounge, Face2Face sessions with an impressive group of mentors, Panels and Case Studies over two days courtesy of ReelWorld.

Other than the application fee, the program is free. I have participated in it myself and have found it very valuable and worthwhile. In addition to making many new contacts in the industry, you will make many new friends amongst your fellow E20 participants.

The deadline for applications is Friday, July 20 though they can be flexible if you contact them early to let them know.
