2013 Golden Trailer Awards – winners

It was a big night for The Walt Disney Studios at the 14th Annual Golden Trailer Awards at the Saban Theatre on Friday night. The preview for Iron Man 3 took two awards, Best Summer Blockbuster and the top prize, Best In Show. The Wreck It Ralph trailer nabbed Best Animation/Family, Monsters University had the Most Original Trailer, and as a capper, Disney studio marketers were given the first-ever Top Of The Box Office award for their campaign on 2012’s Marvel’s The Avengers. The studio got two additional offstage nods for Best Animation/Family TV Spot on Monsters University and Most Original Spot for Brave.

Between volleys of jokes by headliner Rob Schneider host Aisha Tyler, 18 of 67 total awards were handed out. Justin Chon of the Twilight movies presented, as did Lake Bell, writer, director and star of In A World…, a critically acclaimed new comedy which has its dramatic climax at a Golden Trailer Awards ceremony.

Among other kudos, the Skyfall promo took Best Action, and Best Documentary went to the Brooklyn Castle trailer, and Best Video Game went to the Tomb Raider preview. The 18 show awards are listed below. 2012 Golden Trailer Awards – winners

The winners for the 13th Annual Golden Trailer Awards were announced last night at a ceremony in Los Angeles, California.

The top prize Best in Show went to The Dark Knight Rises for its trailer "Chant" by Open Road Entertainment. It also won Summer 2012 Blockbuster Trailer and two poster awards. The film opens on July 20, 2012 in North America.

The remaining awards were spread around to a wide range of titles. Among the many winners, Snow White and the Huntsman won for Best Action Trailer, Bridesmaids won for Comedy, George Harrison: Living in the Material World took the Documentary category, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo took the Drama prize, and Take Shelter won for Independent.

The Amazing Spider-Man trailer

A trailer for the Spiderman reboot The Amazing Spiderman has hit the web on the opening day of San Diego's Comic-Con. It's good trailer but focuses almost entirely on the origin story which is familiar territory, especially since the previous Raimi films aren't that old.

Despite the high-quality resolution, Twitch Film says it's still a bootleg. They tweeted earlier today "The Spider-Man trailer doing the rounds today is still a bootleg, though a high quality one. Sony is VERY unhappy. Thus it is not on Twitch."

We get a glimpse of the impressive cast alongside Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. We see brief glimpses of Campbell Scott as Peter's father, Emma Stone and Dennis Leary as Gwen Stacy and her father, Martin Sheen and Sally Field and Uncle Ben and Aunt May, and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors.
