Call for submissions: RIDM's T-shirt Design Contest

Announcing the RIDM 15th Anniversary T-shirt Design Contest

As part of its 15th anniversary celebration, the Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM) is holding a t-shirt design contest in collaboration with Chic Moustache.

The competition is open to all amateur and professional creatives, including graphic designers, illustrators and photographers. Participants are invited to submit original ideas inspired by RIDM’s slogan: “Where all stories meet / Là où toutes les histoires se rencontrent.” The theme reflects the great diversity of the films programmed by the festival for the last 15 years.

To participate, submit a design via www.chicmoustache.com before September 6, 2012. On September 10, a shortlist will be posted online for public comments and voting. Based on the public response, the RIDM team will announce the winning design on September 24.

The winner will receive a share of t-shirt sales from the various points of sale during the festival (November 7 to 18) and a share of online sales for one year. The winning design will be highly visible, since all festival volunteers will wear the shirt. The winner will also receive five t-shirts, 20 tickets for screenings at the 15th RIDM, a pass for all Docville screenings in 2012-13 and an invitation for two people to the RIDM’s opening night activities. The two runners-up will also receive prizes, and members of the public who comment on the shortlist will be entered in a draw for prizes.

For graphic and technical specifications and to enter, visit Chic Moustache at www.chicmoustache.com and click through to the RIDM contest page.

Quebec’s only film festival dedicated to documentaries, the Montreal International Documentary Festival presents the best reality‐based films, including the works of established directors and new talents.

The 15th RIDM will be held from November 7 to 18, 2012.
